Archive: September, 2008Louisiana and the BailoutThe breakdown of yesterday’s vote on the bailout was pretty interesting. While more Democrats than Republicans supported it, there were large numbers for and against from both parties, and there didn’t seem to be much consistency tying the groups together, other than that those in tough re-election races seemed more likely to vote against it. Power!I got power back two days ago, and it was such an amazing feeling. We take so many things for granted until we lose them, including electricity. The workers who are helping to restore power around our city and state are heroes, and I’m  so thankful for what they’re doing. |
